It’s Always An Adventure

My husband always tells me I have a zest for life like no other. He used to describe me as a thoroughbred race horse always ready to go and every now and then he’d have to reign me in. Well, that has not changed much. Every trip, every plan thats made is one hundred percent me. I’m lucky in that I have a husband that just goes with the flow. There is a great big world out there and I’m determined to see and do and experience as much of it as I can.

So now here we are in some dusty old hotel in Price Utah. I’m usually very good at choosing our hotels, well I have to say I missed the mark on this one. I’ve been up all night sneezing from the dust you can smell, the guy above us is enjoying his time, if you get my drift, in this run down paper thin walled dirt hole and its taking everything in me to not get up and go sleep in my car but its freezing out.

So in spite of this really bad night we have had a great trip thus far. We left Chelan on Thursday and stopped in Lewiston for a one night visit with friends, had a chance to do laundry and then headed on Friday for Boise where we got to visit and have dinner with Genes sister and her fiancé. On Saturday we left Boise, stopped in to see Shoshone Falls which is absolutely gorgeous, and then we got to Utah and stopped at Great Salt Lake State Park where we walked out on the flats and built a rock tower, breathed in the smell of sulfur that comes from the water, and visited the visitors center. Then we made our way to Price where we are spending the night, and are now just about 110 miles from Arches National Park.

So today we are going to start our day at a prehistoric museum here in Price and then head to Arches. I look forward to the days ahead, these places we are going to have been on my bucket list a very long while and I’m excited to get to explore Gods creation. America is such a beautiful, wonderful country and worth fighting for to preserve and save from those who are trying to destroy her. But again, thats another subject for another day.

So if possible we should try to get out there and see and explore as much as we can. We have many trips ahead of us but none better than to kick it off with this National Parks tour.

Next stops are Arches National Park and Canyonlands National Park and anything else in the area we may come across.
Yesterday was cold and windy, we are hoping the wind settles down today and hoping it warms up.
Now off we go again, another day of adventures await us.
