Arizona is a beautiful state with a vast diversity. it is one of the four corner states sharing borders with Colorado, New Mexico and Utah. It is the sixth largest state by area and the fourteenth most populous state. Southern Arizona is known for its desert climate with extremely hot summers and mild winters.

Northern Arizona is vastly different with its forests of Pine and Douglas Fir and Spruce, the Colorado Plateau and Mountain ranges such as the San Francisco Mountains, as well as large deep canyons and significant winter snowfalls. There are several ski resorts in Arizona in Flagstaff, Tucson and Sunrise. And Arizona is home to one of the world’s seven natural wonders Grand Canyon National Park.

There is also twenty-seven federally recognized Native American tribes including the Navajo Nation the largest in the country with more than 300,000 citizens. And you will find many Monuments and relics of Native history throughout the state. One of the most famous is Montezuma Castle National Monument.

Arizona is also home to one of the largest meteor impact sites on record. Created thousands of years ago is the Barringer Meteorite Crater a large hole in the middle of the high plains of the Colorado Plateau.

There are thriving cities such as Phoenix, Tucson, Mesa, Chandler, Scottsdale, Prescott and Tempe and several others which make up the largest populous of Arizona.

Besides the obvious Grand Canyon where you can hike rim to rim, ride a donkey down the canyon trail or camp, there are also many wonderful things to do in Arizona. Try river rafting down the Colorado river with guided trips, hike through Antelope canyon, climb the Bisbee Great Stair Climb, or stay at an authentic dude ranch. If you’re into boating or kayaking, you can visit Lake Havasu for boating and camping or hike to Havasu Falls, you can try a kayak adventure in the Emerald Cove or Horseshoe Bend, or you could visit an old ghost town, Dive the famous route 66 or spend time at a resort and spa.
