Texas is the second largest state in the U.S. bordering Oklahoma, Arkansas, New Mexico, Louisiana, Mexico and The Gulf of America.
Most people relate Texas to being flat and having a lot of tornados, this is true for most of the region, however on the western side of Texas is the Davis Mountains with elevations up to 8751 feet on Guadalupe Peak. Nearby is the Chihuahuan Desert, which is largely flat, a stark contrast to the mountains that sit to the west.
As you move east you enter the Great Plains region. This is known for its flat terrain and prairie landscapes extending from the panhandle to the central part of the state. You then enter the central lowland which consists of rolling hills and fertile valleys. and finally, you reach the coastal plain stretching along the Gulf of America.
