Now We’re Cruisin’

We are just three days away from our fifth month anniversary of living here. Time is flying by so fast.

We have so many of our projects completed, the interior of the house is fully decorated, the garage workshop area is finished, we added more lighting in the garage which makes a huge difference. We still have several things we wish to complete but we are in no hurry and things at this point will get done when ever they get done.
We added a new addition to our garage, our cute little golf cart.
We had decided we wanted to get one, they are nice to have around the neighborhood and the other night we took it up to the shopping center and went out for dinner. It was fun and a lot of people here have golf carts and use them to putter around in.
I drove it up to the pool last Friday and it was nice not having to walk up in the hot sun. oh, did I say hot sun in early March?? Oh, yes I did.
The weather has been amazing but in saying that we’ve also had a few cold snaps that one day is 84 and the next evening it gets down to 38 degrees. This usually comes with a little thunder system that rolls through. We like it, it reminds us of our years we spent in Tennessee.

We have enjoyed spending time with friends and family and we look forward to having more guests in the near future. We have friends coming for a visit in the next couple of weeks and then off to see our kids and grandkids again after that. Working on those airline miles.

Our neighborhood activities director has set up a few events so as Spring kicks in so do the community activities, and we plan on attending as many as we can, it’s a great way to get to know your neighbors.

We have noticed a lot of new faces on the street and I have these good intentions of welcoming new people to the neighborhood but so far have failed at being a good neighbor. but I know I need to do that, as many neighbors welcomed us when we moved in. I really need to do better. ugh!

Well, it’s Monday, the calendar is already filling up, we have doctor appointments to go meet our new doctors, still having repairmen coming to make final repairs, and we reached out to a golf pro at LPGA to see about getting a few lessons to help Gene with his game and to get me started on mine. I am hoping to get to playing enough to join a women’s group.

We also put in for an inquiry to join a couples bible study group at church. I am ready to get this new life of ours started, we are off to a good start but now it’s time to dive in head first.
