We Finally Did It!!

We finally did it! The house is SOLD! We are scheduled to close the second of January, and we could not be more excited!

After nervous tension over the inspection, we passed the final roof inspection, and it is smooth sailing until closing. Our closing title company called us today to let us know as soon as we have the forwarding address, we can come in and sign early for a smooth closing on the second of January. I have not yet chosen a mail service and have been reading reviews before I make the final decision. I really want to make sure all of our bases are covered.

We just arrived home this morning from celebrating early Christmas with our family in Washington State and hit the floor running after a few hours of sleep and began packing. We have scheduled the furniture stager to remove the furniture from the house December 30th so we will officially be out of the house by then and that will leave us a few days for cleaning.

Besides all of the things that come with moving, we also need to set up our moving truck, Airbnb in Washington, schedule our stays and which route we will take as we are in Winter and want to avoid snow as much as possible and plan our first two months out on the road leaving in February heading to Argentina and Uruguay. A whole lot happening right now and a lot to do over the course of the next two months.

We have looked forward to this for so long but had no idea our house would sell at Christmas, and we would be moving right in the middle of the holidays and winter months, but no complaints as we are just so happy it finally sold. We had to give great concessions to sell it, but we know there is no price on living out your dreams, so this is what we had to do to accomplish that.

We are beyond excited to get going and are busy packing and planning and are officially eating off paper plates as we packed up the dishes for our daughters. Finally, we are making this dream a reality and our next steps are close this house, take all of our remaining items to Washington, and get a few things settled before we go. Modify our will, set up accounts so our girls are on them, get our new laptop for our channel and blog, get any visas needed, extra passport photos taken etc… so much to do and then off to Argentina and Uruguay for two months.
