See You Soon…

Well we have finished up our visit here and are heading home tomorrow. It has been a very full sixteen days and celebrating Christmas today was the icing on the cake. What a blessing our family is and we so enjoyed spending time with all of our grandchildren, our children, our parents and so many good friends this last two weeks, but I am ready to go home. As much as I have enjoyed every moment I am also a little home sick and ready to sleep in my own bed.

We have an early morning flight and travel days are always long so I am winding up our trip by packing everything up and trying to get everything to fit in our suitcases. We made the mistake of doing some shopping for our house while we were here and now we are barely squeaking by to get it all in. If theres a will, theres a way. At least I hope so.

So far our adventure in retirement has been a lot of work with the move and now two trips to Washington in just eight weeks. We are ready to go enjoy our new home now.

With Friday being Christmas eve we had originally planned on going to Sea World on Christmas eve, however we feel the strong need to go to church and celebrate the gift of our Savior so we will go to church now on Christmas eve and go to Sea World on Christmas day. The joys of retirement is we can now do what we want, when we want! I like that a lot!

So off we go to bed to get ready for that four thirty alarm and next stop is our beautiful Daytona Beach home. So this isn’t goodbye to all our family and friends, This is for now, we will see you soon!
Merry Christmas week!
